A reference point for narrative and a pioneering publisher in Catalan non-fiction tendencies
Columna Edicions is a reference point in Catalan publishing. Founded in 1985, it offers a multidisciplinary catalogue of fiction and non-fiction that connects with a broad audience. This is shown by its extensive payroll of consolidated Catalan authors, such as Ferran Torrent, Maria Barbal and Emili Teixidor, and newer talents such as Maria Carme Roca, Martí Gironell, Gerard Guix, Llúcia Ramis and Roc Casagran. Similar diversity defines its translated narrative, including books by Italian Susanna Tamaro, Spaniard Javier Moro, Swede Stieg Larsson and Americans Woody Allen and Tom Wolfe.
Ever-alert to its public’s tendencies, Columna is very active in several non-fiction lines publishing distinguished authors with major audience reach. In popular science, Valentí Fuster, Carles Torrecilla and Jordi Basté; in self-help, Joan Corbella and Josep López Romero; in cookery, Carme Ruscalleda and Marta Carnicero, and among its media celebrity authors, the team behind the programmes Polònia and Crackòvia and Andreu Buenafuente.
