Leader in the local market with its own and international editions

After celebrating fifteen years in business in Uruguay, Editorial Planeta has managed to consolidate its leadership with a permanent contribution to the market and to society of diverse cultural contents.

With its project Planeta recorre el país, it visits libraries in the interior of the country with updated bibliographical information, organises presentations of national authors and constantly promotes the creation of reading clubs. In parallel, it maintains its joint activity with the Academia Nacional de Letras in promoting the works of the RAE at different points around the country.

Its most prominent local publications include Los tiempos de Artigas, by Ana Ribeiro, in two volumes; Un señor de la frontera, by Milton Fornaro; Un lugar lejano, by Fernando Butazzoni; Orientales, volume 4, by Lincoln Maiztegui, and Nosotros y los límites, by Ivette Almendras.
