Literature written by and for women with a vocation to become a reference point for romantic novels

Three years after it was launched, Esencia has become a publisher of reference within the romantic novel genre.

Its success responds to the trust that readers have placed in this label and the careful selection of its catalogue, which has been gradually enriched with genres such as the mediaeval romantic novel or the paranormal romantic novel, prominently featuring Kresley Cole, whose series Los inmortales de la oscuridad has had an excellent reception. In the chick lit line, non-fictional works have been incorporated by national women authors and journalists, focusing on subjects the concern women.

Esencia has also continued backing Spanish female authors, such as Rebeca Rus, with Diez maneras diferentes de ser Laura; Anna Casanovas, with Todo por tu amor; Arlette Geneve, with El carcelero de Isbiliya, and women authors of international renown such as Nicole Jordan, Laura Lee Guhrke, Kathryn Smith and Emma Cadwell. A highlight is the incorporation into Esencia’s catalogue of such singular books as Las chicas de Ames, by Jeffrey Zaslow, which narrates the story of eleven women and forty years of friendship.
