Acropole

All history in words and images

Acropole is a prestige brand which publishes reference books, documents, eye-witness accounts and illustrated books in the fields of history and current affairs.

Its catalogue features leading works written by eminent authors for a better understanding of the challenges of the contemporary world, such as L'Atlas de l'Europe, by Michel Barnier, and Les dossiers de la guerre froide mondiale, by Pierre Vallaud. Its contemporary history collection gives a faithful account of the history of the 20th century which is also our own history. Other highlights – given their human focus and the fact that they are supported by documents originating from unpublished archives – are the works of Daniel Costelle and Isabelle Clarke, such as Apocalypse, which achieved great success, Les harkis, contributing towards a better understanding of the war in Algeria, and Traque des Nazis, of which they are co-authors.

In the spiritual sphere, Acropole offers readers accounts of leading personalities such as Nelson Mandela and Abbé Pierre.
