Edicions Destino

Since its inception in 1942, Destino has published the works of the most renowned Catalan and foreign writers. Its publishing project combines prestige and creativity in narrative and essay in Catalan. Sound proof of this its publication of the complete works of Josep Pla (1897-1981), who cultivated nearly all the literary genres, with his Obra completa stretching to 47 volumes.

Since 1968, on the night of 6 January each year, Destino has presented the Josep Pla Prize, an accolade that has recognised authors such as Terenci Moix, winner of the first edition, Baltasar Porcel, Josep Maria Castellet, Maria Mercè Roca, Miquel de Palol, Empar Moliner and, more recently, Llucia Ramis, Cristian Segura, Rafael Nadal and Genís Sinca.
