Editorial Planeta Argentina was founded in 1966 with the aim of leading the country’s cultural scene by promoting prominent Spanish American and especially Argentinian writers. In 1983 the company published Malvinas. La trama secreta, which sold over 150,000 copies in four months, becoming a leader and helping to increase local publications.
The company maintains its leadership in Argentina, and its catalogue features works of fiction and non-fiction which encompass all the spheres, especially those of narrative, essay, history, political and social current affairs, personal development, popular science, humour and memoirs.
